Smokey’s always has dishes on the restaurant and take-out menu that are Mexican inspired – after all, Mexican is the most popular ethnic cuisine in the Unite States. And Smokey’s features “Mexican Mondays”, the day of the week with a menu of specials from South of the border.

Cinco de Mayo is the day in 1862 when the Mexican Army defeated the French army – considered the most powerful in the world at the time – at Puebla. (Some think May 5 is Mexican Independence Day, which is actually September 15.)
